Mental Health Awareness

Depression isn’t a choice Anxiety isn’t a joy ride Our brains seek to change But sometimes the wiring is crossed on the inside. Outsiders tend to judge with lines like “chin up or you’ll get through it.” Outsiders often abandon you because they don’t have to struggle and fight The tears, the sadness, the worrying, or the pills that turn your dark to light. You don’t tell a cancer patient or someone with Lupus or MS Toughen up, move on, smile more, Everything is going to be just fine. Stop the stigma of mental health Encourage others to be their best self. Don’t deny a need to talk And if you are not supported, leave those people It is not your fault.
